Glories of Chandkazi Samadhi
The Chand Kazi’s village is none other than Mathura. After performing kirtana, Gauranga gave love of God to the Kazi and liberated him. Mathura’s King Kamsa of krishna-lila became Chand Kazi in Gaura-lila. For that reason, Gauranga addressed the Kazi as His maternal uncle, and out of fear the Kazi took shelter of Gauranga’s lotus feet.
Nityanand Prabhu is showing all the places here. In worldly relations, Kamsa is the maternal uncle of Krishna. He has come as Chanda Kazi in Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s pastime. This is the Champa tree underneath which Kazi used to reside five hundred years back. When Chaitanya Mahaprabhu along with the sankirtan party reached here, Kazi out of fear entered into his house.
kṛṣṇa līlāya je kaṁsa mathurāya
gaurāṅga līlāya cāṅda kazi nāma pāya
ei janya prabhu tāre mātula balila
bhaye kazi gaura pade śaraṇa laila
Because of his relation in Krishna līlā, Mahaprabhu addressed Kazi as māmā (maternal uncle).
kīrtana ārambhe kāji mṛdaṅga bhāṅgila
hosena sāhāra bale utpāta karila
hosena sā se jarāsandha gauḍa-rājyeśvara
In Krishna līlā, he who was Jarasandha has come as the king Hosena Sa.
tāhāra ātmīya kāji pratāpa vistara
prabhu tāre nṛsiṁharupete deya bhaya
bhaye kaṁsasama kāji jaḍasaḍa haye
tāre prema diyā koila vaiṣṇava- pradhāna
kājira nistāra kathā śune bhāgyavān
Mahprabhu made Kazi a prominent vaishnava by giving him prema, loving devotion. One who hears this deliverance of Kazi, will attain the highest objective, the lotus feet of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
vraja-tattva navadvīpa-tattve dekhah bhed
kṛṣṇa aparādhi plave nirvāṇa abhed
eto aparādhi pāye prema ratna dhana
Therefore Gaura līlā is highest.
The Supreme Lord is eternal and we are his eternal servants. Those who have got this sort of relation, they will get Krishna prema. And those who want to become Supreme Lord, they commit offence, they will not get.
gaura dhāma gaura nāma, gaura rūpa guṇa
aparādha nāhi māne tārite nipuṇa,
yadi aparādha thāke sādhaker mane
kṛṣṇa nāma kṛṣṇa dhāme, tāre bāhu dine,
gaura nāma gaura dhāme sadya prema hoya,
aparādha nāhi tāra bādhā upjaya
There is no consideration of offence in the utterance of Guaranga’s name whereas that is there in the chanting of Krishna’s name. If there is a tendency of committing offence then (actual) Krishna nāma will not be possible and as a result one will be deprived of prema. There is no such consideration in the name of Gauranga. He even delivered the offenders. Therefore, we should take absolute shelter of Gauranga Mahaprabhu. By His grace we will develop love for Him. And when we have love for the Supreme Lord, we will have love for all His objects.
